Tension measuring straps are very robust force sensors that are mainly used in mechanical engineering applications but are also frequently used in cranes and hoists. The tensile forces can be introduced into the sensor torque-free via the integrated spherical plain bearings over a defined center distance. Placed directly in the force flow and under the effect of the applied tensile force, the sensor aligns itself optimally and thus achieves high accuracies in load measurement. The integrated amplifier electronics provide a standard current signal of 4…20 mA that is easy to evaluate, very reliable and insensitive to interference. The tension measuring strap is also optionally available with a (redundant) 2-channel output signal.
